Andrea Beck, L.Ac., C.M.T., M.S., B.S.

 

Andrea Beck is a board certified acupuncturist licensed by the state of California’s  Acupuncture Board and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). She received her Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health & Science in San Diego, California. She also attended the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Andrea originally pursued a different career path post UCSD occupying a position at a private biotech company followed by one at the renowned Scripps Research Institute over a 10 year period. At Scripps she had the opportunity to work on her own research project while contributing to multiple publications in prestigious scientific journals.

 A sequence of events including physical health problems and spiritual self-development, led Andrea to discover she is a healer at heart. Her background in science and her experience as a healer makes her an excellent practitioner utilizing an integrated approach to the human body and disease. Andrea participated in multiple externships including, working at a seniors free clinic specializing in chronic pain and disease, and working in the athletic department at UCSD focusing on orthopedic disorders. Andrea is also a Certified Massage Therapist and practices Circulatory and Deep Tissue massage along with Acupressure. She specializes in chronic pain, digestive disorders, gynecological issues, and orthopedic conditions. 

 

About

Andrea is a San Diego native, raised in the San Diego County community of La Mesa. She loves to hike, camp outdoors, and practice yoga, and has a background in belly dancing and martial arts. Her passion for practicing the art of an ancient medicine is revealed by her dedication to healing others and herself.
